The first 1000 copies were individually numbered and signed by Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova.[2] The item was available for pre-order starting 2 April 2008. t.A.T.u stated that the first 1000 copies of Hyperion-Plate were reserved on 9 April 2008.[3] The product was first released on May 8 to a limited consumers followed by extensive release on May 20.
There are currently two versions of the music video: a censored and an uncensored version. The censored version was released through MTV Russia in November 2007 and the uncensored was featured on the DVD of the maxi-single.
The censored video involves Lena walking through streets scantily dressed. She arrives to her living quarters and changes into her uniform. She then makes her way to the detention centre where, along with a firing squad, she executes a very pregnant Yulia.
The uncensored video follows the same major concept, but with additional footage, such as a party of onlookers drinking cocktails during Yulia's execution and a group of religious protesters outside the "Department of Control." The uncensored version gives a different perspective and a twist in the story. One of the most notable differences is the inclusion of partial nudity from Yulia and full nudity from Lena. And in addition to the inclusion of new scenes to the video, after Yulia throws the tray of food off the table and requests alcohol; the censored version features wine, but the uncensored version shows extended footage and features what appears to be a bottle of Patrón, followed by Yulia giving the warden(s) the finger. In several channels in Latin America an edited version of the uncensored version was shown in which the nudity was censored out. It was called "Beliy Plaschik (Edit)", though the song for the uncensored cut is called "Beliy Plaschik (No Mercy Remix)".
Lena explained the video's meaning in an interview with the Daily Nexus, the campus newspaper of the University of California, Santa Barbara: "It’s against abortions and against when someone kills another, or when somebody hurts another… it’s against that, and against abortion."[4]
"White Robe" is a single from t.A.T.u.'s third English album, Waste Management.
The video to "White Robe", was released on October 30, 2009. It was posted on YouTube by Coqueiro Verde Records. It was met with fan criticism when the video was released without promotion and the audio was not synchronized properly with the video. It was released almost two years after the Russian counterpart, "Beliy Plaschik" premiered.
t.A.T.u's official website announced that the video was up for voting on MTV Brasil on November 10, 2009.[5]
The video for "White Robe" premiered in high quality on t.A.T.u's official YouTube channel on November 30, 2009.[6]
The song received poor airplay in United Kingdom, Poland and Slovakia. The video was played in some channels in Russia, Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
